Healthylife Mary x Drôles de Marmots

For this 2nd Collection, I wanted to pull out all the stops. The development of our swimwear collection for children and women, but also the creation of a capsule collection with a content creator. What is a content creator? A content creator is someone who shares information about fashion, travel, life as a mom… via social networks, blogs or books.

To develop this capsule collection, I had to find someone who shared Drôles de Marmots’ values. So I contacted several people until I fell in love with her. Her name is Maryline Demangel, better known on the web as @HealthylifeMary. We took the time to chat, sharing our desires, what motivated us, but not only that: we also quickly exchanged on more personal subjects that went beyond the purely professional aspect. That’s what I liked about Maryline: her straightforward, professional approach combined with her passion for doing things from the heart.

Mary

With her lovely family of husband Thibault and 3 children, Lyanna, Nathaël and Battista, Maryline likes to share her daily life on the web. From difficult times like her PMA journey to the surprise and much-desired pregnancy of her youngest, she confides in her 279,000 subscribers. On her blog, you’ll find ever more gorgeous looks, incredible trips to France and the other side of the world, not to mention healthy recipes and her fitness routine: in short, her blog is full of nuggets!

Maryline is a hyperactive person who lives life to the full. Through her blog and networks, we wonder how she manages to be on all fronts. Maryline and her family moved to Corsica about a year ago. And it has to be said that the island of beauty has been a great inspiration for our collection.

In short, Maryline was an obvious choice, and together we passionately developed this capsule collection:

The Bulabuledda collection.

Bulabuledda is Corsican meaning “God’s little beast”. A funny, sparkling word full of meaning for the 2 of us. It was the first Corsican word Lyanna said one day on her way home from school.

The choice of models

For this first collaboration together, we decided to design existing models. For women, Maryline chose the Rita 1-piece swimsuit, an elegant swimsuit in which you feel good with its integrated bra.

For children and babies, Maryline tested the Ernest & Gozo shorts and T-shirt set for Nathael and Battista last year. These were the models she chose for boys, and for girls, she also opted for a set: the Roma T-shirt and Margaux panties.

Once the swimsuits had been chosen, Marylise had the idea of offering an additional top for each set. So you can choose between a long-sleeved T-shirt, a short-sleeved T-shirt or both! As our swimsuits are designed for easy dressing, children will be dry and protected from the sun in record time.

An anti-UV fabric, eco-responsible and oekotex standard 100.

Living under the Corsican sun, Maryline opted for an anti-UV fabric for optimum protection. Produced in Italy, the fabric is Oeko tex standard 100 and made from recycled materials. In other words: the perfect fabric for our fragile skins!

Once the fabric had been chosen, it was time to think about the design. Patterns? Plain? Once again, Maryline wanted to pay homage to her island home. After several trials, we came up with the Corsican clementine. Refreshing and delicious, the Corsican clementine is also a pledge of vitality thanks to its high vitamin and mineral content. We had found our motif!

We entrusted the task of creating the motif to Julie Blanc @juliebloomcréation. She met our expectations perfectly, and the result is this sweet, fruity, tangy pattern that we’ll love wearing this summer!

For the launch of this capsule collection, we opted for pre-orders. Indeed, we wanted an eco-responsible and environmentally-friendly collection. In addition to using recycled fabrics, we’ll be producing in Italy, and we’ll be keeping our production as lean as possible to avoid overproduction and waste.

Pieces will be very limited, so don’t miss out on the BABBU short-sleeved anti-UV t-shirt, the ARCOBALENU long-sleeved t-shirt, the NIVULU shorts, the CUPPULATA long-sleeved anti-UV t-shirt for girls, the PRINCIPESSA short-sleeved anti-UV t-shirt for girls, the PUPPONA knickers and the FATA one-piece swimsuit for women.
