Juliana's Summer Body

Juliana is a mother of four whom we had the pleasure of meeting during the very first Funny Kids photoshoot. A CrossFit enthusiast, she shares her vision of the famous Summer Body with us.

“Summer is well underway, you might be going on vacation and you've probably heard about the famous SUMMER BODY! What's a summer body? You have a body and a bikini? Well congratulations, you have a bikini body!

So there's no need to stress about exposing your body at the beach or by the pool. Enjoy your vacation! Ultimately, the summer body is simply a body that makes you feel good. If you had a goal at the beginning of the year and for various reasons you didn't achieve it, then that's okay, summer is also an ideal time to reclaim your body and opt for a healthier lifestyle.
You're not depriving yourself, you're eating better. Forget diets and learn to eat a balanced diet. Try to eat regularly so you don't starve yourself. And remember, the calories you eat at 3 p.m. are the same as the calories you eat at 9 p.m. So if you're hungry, eat!

Many of us have seen our bodies change. For me, 4 pregnancies and a lot of changes! Stretch marks, scars, orange peel skin, diastasis, loose skin, pregnancy mask... Etc.
Remember that all these changes are normal! So be proud of having carried such beautiful children, of having given them warmth and love. Your marks do not define you.

And if you feel like it, you can do some exercises on the beach with your kids!

  • THE KOALA SQUAT
Once your little one is well attached, it's time for 2 to 3 sets of squats (keep your back straight, stomach engaged and legs parallel)
  • THE TUNNEL
It's time for some core work! Get into a nice plank, making sure your back is positioned correctly so you don't arch your back or raise your glutes. You're making a tunnel, not a mountain!
  • THE BRIDGE
Plank in one direction, plank in the other! On your back, raise your pelvis towards the sky, both feet anchored to the ground, tighten your stomach and buttocks, while your little one passes underneath you!”
